CallTorch

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: February 23, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CallTorch ("the Service"), operated by GlobecSys Inc. ("we", "us", "our") at calltorch.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to all the terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CallTorch provides ephemeral, phone-matched document collaboration. Users enter matching phone number pairs to create shared documents that are accessible to all session participants. Supported document types include Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms (via Google Drive), as well as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote documents (via Microsoft OneDrive). Users may also upload PDFs or link existing documents from their cloud storage. Documents are intended to be temporary and may be permanently destroyed by the session host at any time.

3. Account & Authentication

The Service supports authentication via Google OAuth and Microsoft Azure AD. By signing in, you authorize CallTorch to access your cloud storage account (Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive) for the purpose of creating, sharing, and deleting documents on your behalf. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials with your chosen provider.

4. Guest Access

Session hosts may enable guest access, allowing participants to join a session without signing in by providing only a display name. Guest participants can view and access shared documents but cannot create new documents directly. Hosts may additionally require a password for session access. Guest participants acknowledge that their chosen display name will be visible to all session participants.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to transmit harmful, offensive, or illegal content through shared documents.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your phone number.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' sessions, or related systems.
  • Use automated tools to access the Service without prior written consent from GlobecSys Inc.
  • Circumvent session password protections or access controls.

6. Document Ownership & Destruction

Documents created through CallTorch are stored in the host user's cloud storage account (Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive). The session host may end a call, which will:

  • Permanently delete all documents marked for auto-delete from the cloud provider.
  • Preserve documents that the host has individually toggled to "preserved" — these remain in the host's cloud storage but are unlinked from CallTorch.
  • Remove all session records, participant data, and session logs from our systems.

These actions are irreversible. GlobecSys Inc. is not responsible for any data loss resulting from the use of the destruction feature or from automatic session expiry.

7. Automatic Session Expiry

Sessions that remain beyond a configurable lifetime (default: 24 hours from creation) are automatically destroyed by our server-side housekeeping process. All associated documents, participant records, and session logs are permanently deleted. GlobecSys Inc. is not responsible for data loss resulting from automatic expiry. Users are encouraged to preserve important documents before session expiry.

8. Linked Documents

Users may link existing documents from their cloud storage to a call session. Linked documents are not created by CallTorch and are not subject to auto-delete when the session ends. However, the document reference is removed from our database. Sharing permissions granted during the session may persist in the cloud provider.

9. CTDocuShare Linker Desktop Application

The CTDocuShare Linker ("Linker") is an optional desktop application distributed by GlobecSys Inc. for use with the Service. By installing and using the Linker, you additionally agree to the following:

  • The Linker is licensed under a separate End-User License Agreement (EULA) presented during installation. You must accept the EULA before using the Linker.
  • The Linker connects to your DialPad account via OAuth 2.0 to receive incoming call event notifications. By authorizing DialPad access, you consent to sharing your DialPad phone number, email, and call event metadata with the Service.
  • You are responsible for ensuring your organization's DialPad administrator has approved OAuth integrations.
  • The Linker communicates with the CallTorch server using HMAC-signed requests. You must not attempt to intercept, forge, or replay these requests.
  • GlobecSys Inc. is not responsible for any issues arising from DialPad service outages, API changes, or revocation of OAuth access by your organization's administrator.
  • The Linker is provided "as is" and GlobecSys Inc. makes no guarantees about notification delivery timeliness or accuracy.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. GlobecSys Inc. does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not guarantee the availability, integrity, or permanence of any documents created or linked through the Service. Real-time features (such as live participant updates and session event streams) are provided on a best-effort basis and may be temporarily unavailable.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GlobecSys Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service, the destruction of documents (whether manual or automatic), or the unavailability of real-time features.

13. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.

15. Contact

For questions regarding these Terms, please contact GlobecSys Inc. at [email protected].
